Terms of service
Last updated September 13, 2026
GiftLoom is a free, invite-only trial for planning gifts. Be at least 13, keep your account to yourself, don’t misuse it, and remember it’s still being built, so things may change or break. Your plans stay yours.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Jay Stants, the individual who runs GiftLoom (“GiftLoom”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using GiftLoom, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how your information is handled.
2. The trial
GiftLoom is in a limited trial. It’s free during the trial, and features may be added, changed, or removed as it develops. We may end the trial or the service; if we do, we’ll try to give notice first so you can export your data.
3. Who can use GiftLoom
You must be at least 13 years old to use GiftLoom. If you’re under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian. During the trial, creating an account requires an invite code or an invitation from an existing member.
4. Your account
- Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password to yourself.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Invite codes are for the people they were given to. Please don’t publish or sell them.
5. Using GiftLoom fairly
Don’t use GiftLoom to:
- break the law, or store or share content that’s unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else’s rights;
- send spam or unwanted invitations;
- access other people’s accounts or data without permission;
- disrupt, overload, probe, or scrape the service, or get around its limits and security.
6. Your content
The events, people, gifts, notes, and photos you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, display, and process that content only as needed to run GiftLoom for you and the people you share it with. Only add information about other people, such as names and gift ideas, that you’re comfortable keeping in GiftLoom.
When you share an event, list, or wishlist link, the people you share with can see it as described in the privacy policy. You can stop sharing at any time.
7. The assistant and link previews
The in-app assistant uses AI and can be wrong. Check anything important. Link previews show titles, prices, and images taken from other websites; we don’t control those sites, and prices or availability may be out of date.
8. No warranty
GiftLoom is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it reliable and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or never lose data. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose. You can export your plans from Settings.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, GiftLoom isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, such as a missed occasion or a lost gift idea, arising from your use of the service. Because the trial is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $50 USD. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using GiftLoom and delete your account from Settings at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as GiftLoom changes. The “last updated” date above shows when. For significant changes, we’ll let account holders know in the app or by email. Continuing to use GiftLoom after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Contact
A contact address for questions about these terms will be listed here soon. Until then, you can manage or delete your account yourself from Settings.
